Congratulations to varsity competition cheer and cross country today. The Competition Squad won 1st at Starr's Mill and Mallory Crenshaw was 6th and Luis Sanchez 10th at Marion Co. MS girls XC placed 2nd overall.

Taylor Co. called and said they could not come play JV football today because of weather. Softball is playing on a dry field if you are looking for something to do.

The game time for the Varsity Football game at Central-Talbotton Friday has been bumped up an hour and will kickoff at 6:30. Tickets will be $8 cash sales at the gate.

Schley County Middle High School teachers, Carol Davis, Pat Gordy, Johnnie Jarvis and Leslie Reese at the September 12, SCMHS Title I meeting, and STEM Night. Parents and students were invited to listen to a short presentation about the Title I program, and then watch demonstrations of robotics and 3-D printing, before participating in a hands-on STEM activity.


Are you ready for Homecoming next week? Do you have your costumes ready for each day? The spirit stick will be given to the class that participates the most throughout the week and the pep rally as well. Start getting your dress up clothes ready for the week! Each student that dresses up will get a point for your grade. Students will be called to the gym each day at 7:45 a.m.

Congratulations to Jay Kanazawa for being named Wendy's Giant of the Week. Jay was given this award for his hard work and dedication on the football field. Congratulations Jay and keep up the great work. We are proud of you!

Homecoming Dance Information


The game time for the Varsity Football game at Central-Talbotton Friday has been bumped up an hour and will kickoff at 6:30.

Students in grades 9-12 who plan to bring a date that does not attend Schley County to the Homecoming dance need to pick up an out of county form from the information board outside the office. Forms are due by by September 15.

Senior Probe Fair and college tour permission slips are due by Friday, September 22.

Seniors interested in hearing more information about GA Tech's admission requirements and application process will have a representative her on Tuesday, September 19. Sign up outside Mrs. Hagerson's door.

There will be a basketball interest meeting on Monday, 9/18/2023, for any high school boy or girl who wants to play basketball. You will meet at the trophy case after announcements.

Any student in 9th-12th grade that would like to be a part of the Georgia Movie Academy Team, please come by the Media Center and pick up an application.

Students interested in STEM club need to turn in their form to Mrs. Brunson by Friday.

SCHS has after school assistance for high school students in grades 9-12, Monday-Thursday. Please talk with your teacher if you would like to attend.
