Students in Mrs. Crook's 6th Grade ELA class have been working hard to determine the theme of a story. Students were sorted into groups to read their new informational short story. Students were to read the story and answer the questions throughout together. They had to use evidence from the text to determine the theme and central idea using the RACES Writing Method.

The JV football game tomorrow vs Irwin is canceled. Much of their county is out of power so they will not be able to travel.
The MS Softball game with Marion Co. today has been postponed. It is rescheduled for Sept. 25.

PSAT will be given on October 24, 2023. All 10th graders will take the PSAT. Any 9th or 11th grader interested in taking the PSAT, the cost is $20. You must sign up outside Mrs. Hagerson's door. The deadline to sign up is Friday, September 8.

Congratulations to the cross country teams this morning as they opened their season at the Furlow Fast Feet Invitational with a strong showing. The MS girls team placed first and Easton Sizemore placed 8th in the MS boys race.
